Man Successfully Completing a Challenge

THE CHALLENGE

The Challenge lasts for 12 weeks and includes 3 main elements:

  1. dietary education
  2. cognitive therapy
  3. physical exercise

Your Personal Weight Loss Coach

Your group will meet weekly with a weight loss coach. These sessions are structured to include all aspects of diet, eating habits and metabolism, including practical suggestions for buying and cooking food and eating out. Other aspects of health and illness are covered and there will be regular guest speakers.

Your progress will be monitored and recorded regularly.

The format of these sessions will be informal and friendly with a spirit of sharing and discussion. You will have time to meet and socialise with other members of your group.

At the beginning of the programme you will be provided with the telephone number of your weight loss coach. Coaches can provide individual advice and support between sessions and for ‘crisis moments’.


Dietician

YYou will be assessed by a dietician at the beginning of the programme and he or she will be available for ongoing support throughout. Our dieticians have considerable input into the content of the sessions, providing helpful recipes and meal plans etc.

Therapy Sessions

During The Challenge you will have 10 x 1.5 hour group therapy sessions. You will also have the opportunity to discuss any personal issues with a psychologist at a booked telephone session every 2 weeks.

Personal Trainers

Our experienced personal trainers will lead you through an enjoyable and manageable exercise session each week. You will be provided with your own fitness record and an exercise programme, which includes physical activities that can be practised anywhere between classes.

On completion of The Challenge you will graduate to the Wellness Club.
